Earl Aungst
Earl Aungst was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Florence and Dwight Aungst.
He has seven siblings. His father, who ran a small farm, managed a grain
elevator, and pastored a small church moved the family to DeWitt in 1970, where
he became active as a lay minister. His parent's work ethic, commitment,
and love for God formed the foundation for Earl's future success. Earl and his wife, Lois, have five children
and nine grandchildren. Earl has been employed full time at Granger III
and Associates, a local environmental service company, since 1983. He is
currently in supervision within the safety & operations department.
Lois and Earl minister to couples dealing with marriage
and families. Earl’s particular desire is ministering to men. His goal is to
help each man realize the potential that God has placed in him and to bring it
to the full potential that God has intended. Over the years Earl has filled many positions at LGRC as
God opened positions. He has taught in several different Sunday School classes
and was the youth pastor. Earl has sung in the choir and in a quartet since his
teen years. Earl has served on the church board of directors for over 20 years
and is currently serving the congregation as pastor of administration. His
faithfulness and loyalty to the congregation are an inspiration to all who know
him.
