Linda and Dennis Moffitt have been the active leaders of the congregation since the Founding Pastor Walter Roy Ogden passed away in 1976. Pastor Ogden was Linda’s earthly father. Linda Moffitt was voted in as permanent full-time pastor in 1995. It was a natural progression from lay leader to full-time pastor after Linda’s many years of devoted service. Pastor Linda is a gifted teacher and compassionate shepherd for the congregations. Her vision for a fully functional team ministry is an inspiration. Pastor Linda has many ideas for the future, one of which is for the church property to be used in a Godly manner for the sake of the surrounding community to make a greater, more lasting, difference. A door has already been opened with the opening of the DeWitt Christian Child Development Center in 2002. The center provides community children with quality Christian training as well as professional daycare. We hope it is just the first step in a process that will bring a Christian school to our location. Dennis Moffitt, Pastor’s husband, is chairman of the Board Of Trustees. He is also the chairperson of worship services. Dennis is often the first to volunteer for any project sponsored by the church. He also owns a concrete construction company, along with his two sons, Travis and Brandon. Linda and Dennis have 8 grandchildren nearby. It has often been said of Pastor Linda that she loves her church passionately. She truly lives the theme of the Book of Proverbs, “Live well, laugh often, love much.”
